  2. Congratulations on having your work featured at this gallery, Casey! I enjoyed browsing through their website, and hopefully the extra exposure will get more of your work into collector's homes :).

And kudos to that gallery for featuring and supporting several local artists; I wish more galleries would do this.

  4. The red and blue in this piece have such a wonderful 'punch' amplified with the oranges and the referenced green. What a great composition! And great color... of course, what would one expect from The Colorist.

    Kudos on the gallery representation.

  6. Thank you, Peggy and Dan.

Don - thanks very much. I try to say, "I'm not 'the colorist,' that's the name of my blog." But, at this point, that distinction fails to fly. I do work in the colorist tradition, so I'll take the compliment.

This image is from memory, of a draw west of my house with a lot of wild rose bushes.

  7. I like that top edge, where the darks meet the sky.

  17. Hey, you Boulder artists. Thanks for commenting, Jala and Sam.

I'm not sure how the opening went - I was present for the past two but not this one.

To be honest, I am more focused on the studio and what I'm creating right now.
