In my sub conscience, though, maybe the line there means "big" or "immense" or "important". The Pacific Ocean is big!

Thanks. Hope that spring is coming to NY. We just got new snow, just when a couple brown spots were peeking through.

I broke down and did a snow scene or two, but they are still to be posted.Casey Klahnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08020906666248399435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826049157205598760.post-56697203560878592832009-03-03T19:05:00.000-08:002009-03-03T19:05:00.000-08:00I like this a lot, Casey - the sense of movement T...I like this a lot, Casey - the sense of movement Trevor commented on and the wonderful grays, blues, and purples. The relatively high horizon line works very nicely, too.Brian McGurganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11963409828276349170noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826049157205598760.post-86744218667183844642009-03-03T07:51:00.000-08:002009-03-03T07:51:00.000-08:00Thanks, Miki. I had to look at it a while to see if they felt right.

Maybe the reason is that the light was grayer early on, and the sunlight improved through my session. Also, I tend to gravitate towards gray when I am painting Grays Harbor, Washington. Go figure!

Anyhow, my method is to stick with the first conditions - the initial feeling.Casey Klahnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08020906666248399435noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826049157205598760.post-36866175516154565812009-03-03T07:06:00.000-08:002009-03-03T07:06:00.000-08:00You have really captured the power of the ocean in...You have really captured the power of the ocean in this piece.
