I Blame The Groundhog

  1. S-s-sixty degrees in the s-s-studio. Usually it's pretty warm in here, but tonight we expect minus temps. Yikes!

I'll have to light the furnaces early tomorrow.

  2. Oh my...brrrrr!

My hands stay perpetually cold with indoor temps of 65 degrees or less (read: no painting), so you have my sympathies.

I have to admit my attention span and tolerance for winter weather ends around mid-February. Now, I'm thinking of spring and summer.

  4. I did have to call a short evening session shorter because of cold hands, Sonya. Better to read my Wolf Kahn book, and blog.

William - you are dating yourself with that one.

  5. OH BROTHER! Too much snow. You might want to install a rope fence to lead you back to the house in case a blizzard hits while you're in the studio!!

It's been cold and snowy here on the west side of the state, too, and more cold coming, but no more snow. What a winter! Out like a lion!

  8. I don't know what happened, Mary. They called for minus temps overnight, but our thermometer says zero. I'd better check the Weather Underground site and see what goes.

  9. A-hem! Wasn't it you who was talking about puttin' yer skirts on? How could Winter resist one more shot at a target like your scantily-clad studio?

Glad to see you stopped shivering long enough to take this excellent photograph.

  10. You all need to come visit Maine in late February. I promise you will feel much better about Pacific NW weather. We just topped 100-inches, ugh. We keep our studio furnaces on Nov - April. Very cozy.
