I remember first looking at the Rock Climbing periodicals when I was just beginning to get hooked on that sport. None of the pictures made sense, as the ground isn't there, and angles were tilting and persons were sticking onto nothing. Now, I am thoroughly familiar with the mountain environment, and it's not hard to abstract high angle terrain in my mind. So, after I finished this simple piece, I liked it. But then I wondered, Will anyone else be able to "read" it? Funny mind games of an artist...
You've really captured the morning light striking the ridge. Lovely abstract quality as well.
