Virtual Event - Bump!

The need for a virtual hanging struck me. Enjoy. All works soft pastel, originals by Casey Klahn.

For those who have seen this post back in July, bear with me as I use this display again for reference.

  1. I'm so glad that the need for a virtual hanging struck you Casey. These are all wonderful. I've seen some of them but shoot... you can't ever get tired of seeing your works. There all outstanding! I hope that you have time to put aside for yourself. Glad that you found it in your heart to show us these wonderful creations. :)

  3. Hey, I love your virtual gallery idea. I also mentioned and showed some of your work in a new podcast that I did this week.

Hope all is well with you.

  5. Thanks and welcome to Karen Winter. I looked all over your blog but couldn't find where you live. I like the layout there, and it looks like a blog that is part of a website service, so the essentials are on both sides in columns, and in small print. I like that a lot, but the about me needs more about you - see how they do it here at blogspot, which is a bit "crackerjack", but it gives a photo and (if the user writes it down) a location.
Great to have you reading here!
William, its too bad I don't know how to pick up a podcast. Is it the same thing to stream it on my computer? When I hear the word "pod", I think of "Open the pod bay door, HAL". Old farts will nod their heads, now. Youngsters will scratch their heads.
Angela, of course you are my long-time reader! New people haven't seen these works. Hey, I do have that one new blue work there. Except I showed it the other day, didn't I? Oh, well. A gallery is looking in on my blog, and I felt the need to put some of my signature stuff on top, and the off-target stuff deeper down.
Thanks again, Martha. Someday I'll figure out your trick of "hanging" them in a grouping with Photoshop. I love how your work looks together when you do that.

  6. Great idea! The only drawback to a virtual show is that I can't see them all at once. I'm going to use these to help me with my essay!

  8. Thanks, Robin.

For those of you who haven't figured it out, I post these virtual groupings whenever I know that a gallery will be looking in. It is easier than telling them to click on "My Pastels".

  11. Very impressive body of work - having done a fair amount of pastels in my past, I have a real appreciation for someone who can use them to their full effect as you do! Such pure, rich colors. No other medium really can compete on that front!

I miss pastels but don't have a space to use them now. Focusing on other mediums. Thanks for sharing these - I will subscirbe to your blog so I can keep up to date with what you're doing.
