This was well worth the wait, Casey - beautiful color and texture. I especially like your handling of the water in the foreground, which so nicely suggests a play of light on the water's surface.

Adam, that is interesting about the colors. The Indians had what they had, and here I am with access to the dizzy contemporary palette. Somehow, I am effected by the native ways.
The reason I titled this Native Tree is because I discovered an Indian Red pastel that I love (Medium sized Unison). A big departure for me to use brown of this sort.
