I really enjoyed the comment about mark-making. That's what struck me. I like the marks themselves--and the decisive way they're laid down. Those two intense blue marks with the white nearby are making the whole thing vibrate nicely. They're front men, while the browns are having an argument. Quite a color pageant taking place here. I particularly like the characters in the lower left--the regular schmoes without whom none of this would be possible.
wow that red is fabulous! wow!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the double wow.
ReplyDeleteThis is right up my alley. Love it and how the red just pops out at you. The mark making is great also.
ReplyDeleteThanks you, Debora, for the detailed comment. The red pops, and the violet has some kind of energy going on.
ReplyDeleteI totally thought of Debora Stewart when I saw this palette! Nice color work!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mary. That is a high compliment!
ReplyDeleteThe red marks say here we are and the violet invites me in to stay awhile. very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kat! I am trying hard to avoid the word, "vibration." Trying...trying...
ReplyDeleteI'll say it... This is a real vibrating wildfire!
ReplyDeleteDakota's having a sale on pastel boxes! They must have detected a pent-up demand. You don't suppose they saw your post, do you?
Sam breaks the ice. I did see that sale. Anyone use this Dakota Box?
ReplyDeleteLove that take-no-prisoners scarlet.
ReplyDeletePowerful abstraction, Casey, the dark plummy purple really makes the brights sing - most enjoyable.
ReplyDeleteThe red steals the show, but only because of the grayed colors nearby. Did that red really need a wingman? Heck, I'd ask her out!
