  3. Yes, Casey. More than one someone is reading this blog. After our class at Seattle Artist League I started reading it from the very first post and am working my way through as time permits.

BTW, thanks for introducing me to oil bars. I've been having fun using them with pastels, and also the Diane Townsend pastel ground.

  4. Hi, Jean! Thanks for reading this old blog! I put a lot of years of hard work into it, but I wonder if blogs are that well read anymore. Your encouragement, Jeri and Jean, is well received.

  5. Blogs. The antithesis of Twitter . . . they require a bit longer attention span.

  6. Casey,

Of course there are still readers out there! We keep coming back to see your marvelous use of color.

  7. I'm new to your blog. I learned about you because I subscribe to Gail Sibley's YouTube videos. Our styles are somewhat similar but our personal "rules" couldn't be much more different. I am such a perfectionist about color, that I've stopped work on paintings until I can make colors I don't have, and seldom would consider using a color that is the wrong value or hue. My selection of colors is closer to one thousand than five hundred, never mind limiting myself the the small handful Gail will use for her demos. I do love to see art and methods that are different because everyone can make wonderful art with whatever they have immediately available. I find seeing other people's methods stretches my capabilities.
