Degas, French Papers and Pastel Love

Do you need to save money on paper?  Do you have a pile of unfinished works on La Carte paper?  See my report on how I have been reclaiming this paper incorrectly identified as too sensitive to re-use.

  1. Degas' work is so inspiring! I once saw an exhibit dedicated to his drawings (studies, actually) that were foundational to his paintings. It's remarkable how much he was able to capture in such a short period of time, and how expressive his work is. Definitely one of my favorites!

  2. Love the videos! Saw a good show at the Portland Art Museum "The Dancer" with works by Degas, Forain, and Toulouse-Latrec. Gorgeous to see the masterful strokes up close.

  3. You are lucky! I would very much want to see a Degas. Some day I will.

Kathy, his drawings are endless inspiration to me, and as I look closer: very simple!
