New School Color - Casey Klahn
I'll read this later. I sort of can't bear it. lol lol
Good posts. Thanks! I need to invite the Ax Man in sooner before I waste time trying to fix a painting that can't be fixed.
Jack Nicholson is scary, huh? I think you are an artist who has a good handle on critiquing work, Celeste. Donna, the fun begins when I go back into a "lost" painting to save it.
Send that ax man over to me later, I can keep him busy for an afternoon. :)
Jeanette, you live in the land of Ax Men. I'll contract a local one for your studio.
I enjoy the process of axing; it feels good to get rid of reminders of the less than successful moments in my studio. I have a can of alkyd primer on standby for the oil paintings that need the ax.
Wow! You killed your darlings!
It is a lot of work for me, Sonya. I had a recent experience on a national jury and am armed with a little more knowledge this year. Live and learn.
That;s right, Eric. I did 'em in.I do have a process where I recover some failed works. A few have actually been re-born from last year. Maybe it all evens out in the end, huh?
Thank you for commenting here!
