Rivers abstract very well Casey! The colors are....luscious. (Beautiful and wonderful seemed understatements). Turning a painting up side down can turn your head around. One of the reasons I used to love to paint on the floor when my joints were flexible. --One of the reasons my joints aren't so flexible now! LOL.
How funny, Casey! I tried cranking my head around to see it upside down, and it gives a completely different look. I like 'em both.
ReplyDeleteBut, I do agree: rivers do lend themselves well to abstraction. Especially with all those vibrant colors you chose!
very nice...and yes, rivers lend themselves to abstraction; but then again you can abstract anything and make me see it!!
ReplyDeleteI used to avoid rivers and water, but caught the bug when I saw the possibilities.
ReplyDeleteLaptops are good for turning upside down. PC's - not so much. I'm not smart enough to flip the image of my PC...
Everyone go see Sonya's recent series of snow pastels. She has the knack, and they are well worth your visit.
Thank you, Cindy. You are kind.
ReplyDeletethere is a whole nuther world underneath the surface, just like a book.

ReplyDeletethis post makes me what to go change the orientation of all my paintings! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Thanks for the enthusiasm, Celeste!
