Hee hee! Why does everyone hate green so much? Doesn't green deserve the same respect as purple, as orange, as blue? lol Maybe green is mundane... It is everywhere in our world. I know it is a difficult color to work with, that's for sure!

Glad you got the joke, Sally. Landscapists hate green, I think, only when they're looking at local color. I propose looking at the color palette instead.

green is such a tricky thing, isn't it? funny about "Green Acres" -- god, glad someone else remembers those old sitcoms! truly love the looseness of your work, Casey --

As Kermit says, "It isn't easy being green."

Got a laugh out of the Eddie Albert/Gabor gif where he pounds his pitchfork. lol.
Yeah. Green. Tell me about it. Oregon. Green Green Green. Your landscape here is NOT a slave to it. Must write that down somewhere..."don't be a slave to the green" haha.
I love how you treated the middle trees especially. Beautiful painting. Hey! my word verification word is arbous

Happy Arbous Day, Celeste.

Thanks to all - today I'm leaving for Kirkland so I'll be somewhat out of pocket.

Green goodness me, what a great landscape! It amazes me how many different ways of dealing with green there are and yet we live in fear of it:) I propose to do a little blog project between the landscape artists who wish to participate about the treatment of green. We can agree on a name and everyone could do a few posts on that particular subject within a couple of weeks. To make it more fun, we could link those posts up to see what everyone has to say.

Great work, Casey, and nice range of greens. I'm a fan of the color but still learning to work well with it.
