Sausalito - A Photo Report

Photobucket

A special welcome to my new readers from the Sausalito and Bay areas. The past four days at the famous Sausalito Art Festival have been both fun and rewarding for me. Thanks to the artist awards committee, the event staff and volunteers, and the patrons who come from far and wide to see this premier event. Fifteen original pastels are in new homes, and not a few new readers (my highest stats ever were reported for today) have found The Colorist.

Thank you....

Thanks very much, Asti. I didn't anticipate or expect the award this year, but I did imagine that if I did get it I would probably shed some tears.

Yes, Elizabeth, life is good. But, it's "the new good."

Great, great to see you, Mary. Thanks for following.

I have enjoyed reading your posts on your trip and the art fair; it was clearly a smashing success on many levels, including the award for best drawing - congratulations!

I have to say that I love the photo of your booth, with all the paintings hanging on the black fabric. The simple white mats and black frames you used make the paintings look so elegant. I can only imagine how nice they looked when viewed in person.

Casey, just delighted at the award. Like the booth, too. Your passion and hard work are being recognized. Still LOVE the "Red Tree" in our entry. I'm sure the newly acquired works will find similar appreciation at their houses. Your work is more than applying color and skill.

Feels like a confluence of science, art, humor, and love. That's what the judges recognize...

Congratulations! on such a rewarding trip. Thanks for taking us with.

Rosemarie, I would add faith to that list. Except, I'm not the best at expressing it. Anyway, fine art is a language without words, huh?

Say hi to Waldemer.

Thanks very much, Sonya. If simple is elegant, I'll buy that description. The light does add something, but we suffered with harsh sunlight in the daytime. I'm going to try to address that next year.

The booth really looks great and the tux? Sweet! Very James Bond. I'm really happy about all the sales.

Thanks, Ken!

You look great in that tux--and your booth is wonderful--I daresay, it is THE best looking outdoor booth I have ever seen--classssy! (Congratulations again)

Hey, Celeste! I stopped by your show, too. It was wonderful to see your works on the wall, and the show looked great. So many paintings!!

My booth is simple and uncluttered, but I would say it is in desperate need of some kind of frou frou. Too bare, IMO.

Thanks for the comments, and the award is for the whole body of work, rather than one piece.

What sayest thou?!?!

The award is thine for a second year?! Od's blood! We wee-est our breechcloths in amazement!

Verily Casey, thy artistic creations shall one day grace the very halls of Valhalla itself!

I, Thorvald the Blunt (AKA: Garth Edwards), have Nordicly spoken!
