Looking North Towards Canada
Back Towards The House
Early this morning, I had to break into my studio, since the door had literally frozen shut! Someday I will build that overhang so water won't drip on the threshold. A whole foot of snow fell since yesterday, and it stayed well below freezing all day today. Brrr.
Happily, my studio is warm, and I feel good about getting back to work after the holidays.
Best wishes.
Oh, in the next day or two I will be posting my choices for the Top Ten Posts on artist's blogs for 2010.

Beautiful photos - they make me feel Cold. Brrr!
How does a blog get nominated for the Top Ten Posts?
Peace,

Casey - How beautiful. And a warm studio. You live in Paradise :)
Happy New Year and a great year of art in 2011
Gorgeous looking. I'm sure, less fun to be in the midst of.
Glad you were able to break into your studio.
All the best for the new year.
Howdy, LuLu. Thanks for stopping by.
I choose the posts myself, which is totally autocratic, I know. I use criteria such as: really great art, memorable writing, well-composed posting (pleasing format, use of links, lack of errors) or content-heavy.
This year, I favored posts written in a series, and also I chose bloggers who hadn't received the award in the past.
Well, Robyn, you know my number 2 choice for studio paradise would be Tuscany.
It is a warm studio, in spite of the hat and fleece I wear in the picture.
I get cold trudging to my knees through the snow, though. HNY!!
I crawled in through the north window, Jean.
Maybe I'll strap on the skis, today. Best wishes to you!
Our view looking south to western Washington state is pretty much the same as your view looking north -- absolutely wonderful!
What a beautiful warm Yellow light graces your home. You make the snow look warm and wonderful. Enjoy!
Hi across the border, Charlene!
Hey, Loriann!!! You won the big award at MAM, and I am ecstatic about it. Beautiful artwork, and congratulations.
HNY, everyone.
Casey--HNY 2 U ! I was happy to see that your Top Ten included so many of my faves. One glaring omission, though. You were not on the list. But I guess that would be a bit much. Not for me, though. Your blog has always been high on my list.
P.S. NIce pictures! Cold and snow everywhere. As my mother says, "Well, it's winter."
Winter it is, Sam!
I have noticed myself trying to blog to the standards I admire in the award winners over the years. They create a benchmark.
Maybe I get the most out of the Top Ten Posts awards - that's the way I feel.
