Rainy Day Rivers - No Sunshine For You!

The Rain, the Light & the River
11.75" x 18.25"
Pastel
Casey Klahn

The last time I posted about the rainy river, in beautiful Hoquiam, Washington, is here.  This painting is the companion piece.

Someday, the sun won't shine for you.  Or, that's what Jethro Tull said, anyway.  You know how it is.

I like the warmer color in this one but they are both beautiful renderings.

I love the dripping color in this painting. It's quite captivating!

Thank you, John. I did wonder about the divergent temperature outcomes. but maybe they are bookends. I appreciate your comment.

Absolutely love it. It's warmer than the other one (which is also lovely, of course). I like how silvery the water is, and the different colored raindrops.

Thank you, Jala. The secret is Diane Townsend blue-grays. And, a couple of other secrets, too.

Celeste, you are also a true Northwesterner. The sure sign is you love the rain.
