New School Color - Casey Klahn
This is a lovey little pastel. Too bad it didn't make it into the pre-sale. Good luck in Spokane!
Beautiful painting; lovely music, but still a bit melancholy for a time of year I find too melancholy. I do appreciate your subdued colors though. I have been working on Beethoven's Sonata Number 25 in G Major OP. 79. The first movement is frisky and quick--quicker than these ring fingers can go in my 7th decade. It would be fun to see what colors that section suggests. Nice idea.
Sam, it is not yet in the frame, but all it needs is assembly. I am going to promote another sale, including this one, in the next few days. Thanks on Spokane. I will post pics.Linda, I must be drawn to the melancholy music. It feels to me like I appropriate that in my works, and yet I want catharsis, too.I will look up that piece you are playing. Much cheer!
this is very beautiful Casey. to me it speaks of calm and peacefulness.Good luck at the show!
Thanks for both comments, Sara!
