I'm in the studio making lots of small works, and a few medium ones, too.

These are great, Casey! I'm glad to see at least someone has been having a productive time in their studio so far this year...
That bright fuchsia pared with the greens in that Italian(?) architecture painting just delights me on many levels.
Yes, that is a very small town in the Apennines named La Ca. Thanks!
WoW! What color drenched pieces and what gorgeous colors. These are wonderful.
You are kind, Sharon.
lovely, just simply and purely lovely! and that's a compliment.
Thank you, Cindy. It means a lot.
I love how you photographed these on top of the pastel...the photo is a work of art in itself
Casey, your work is thrilling! So confident, essential, and loose/precise. Gaaaahhhhh. Why can't I be you???? (Maybe because I don't work as hard? Maybe because I don't work as often? Maybe because I don't....) :-))))
Thanks for commenting, Celeste. It was a cool idea - mainly I took it there for the daylight by the windows.
All my Portland chums at once! Hi, Sarah.
Your work is very fine, and the secret is to find your own voice, huh? It is time consuming, too.
Hi Casey,
I love how you simply the shapes and say so much with just color!!! You speak my language and I love it.
Keep up the great work.
Linda
Thank you, Linda. I almost wonder if they couldn't go even simpler?
Hi Casey! Even simpler sounds very enticing -- farther down the path of abstraction and allowing the "it" of the painting to just become the entire piece. Color bouncing back and forth, bumping into shapes, and pulling the excited viewer in to stay a long while and explore it.
These small pieces have a lot to say.
Small with a mighty punch, Casey!!!!!
Bottom right speaks to me, it takes me there. How much are these small works?
Thank you for looking here, Kvan!
Hi, Maggie - I appreciate your comments!
Hi, Robin. That bottom right is a scene on Highway 2, done from memory.
They are, clockwise from left: La Ca - 5.5" x 6" - $160/
A River Corner - 3.75" x 4" - $80/
Field Corners - 5.5" x 5.5" - $150.
Unframed.
Thanks for asking.
