Hard to believe it took so long to come to completion, although I can certainly relate! Clearly, it needed time to properly "age" before you finished it.

The final result looks effortless and I just love those sky lavender blue/purples!

Hi, Sonya. Yeah, I was in much danger with this piece. It was all about the precious, beautiful foreground, and the whole painting was duller than a box of rocks.

Finally, I put it back on the easel, invaded the treeline with many colors from that foreground and the painting finally had something to say!

The violet color in the field takes my breath away, Casey. Somehow it just states the time of day and atmosphere so well. Awesome painting!
