Hi Casey, i like this colour composition. Looks like the female version of your blues! Has a nice warm touch to it.
Greetings, Petra

Very beautiful - I love the colour range and the loose nature of this which makes it feel very natural and real.

Casey,
I LOVE the colors you chose for this painting. They absolutely sing together in harmony! Bravo!

Wow! I was a little tentative about this one - the photo and the size are troublesome. The response is heartening - thanks everyone.

I was goofing off, not attending to my blue series and a set of experiments came forth. Look for a couple more in the next few posts.

Back again Casey.... This time to tag you!
I know you have probably been tagged many times...but here I am tagging you again. You know the rules...tag 7 more artists and list 7 things (that we don't know) about yourself.
Have fun!
Loriann

Tagged and Bagged. Like a deer in a snare...I will have to think of seven new ones, now. Thanks Loriann, and thanks, Deborah.

Fabulous!!

Thanks, Jala.

Actually, Laura, I just did a painting where I copied a winter scene of WK's and I am so thrilled with it that I am looking for winter motifs, now!

Still all snow covered, here. Light bulbs came on when I copied the WK, and I can't wait to share these things with everyone. My challenge now is to take those lessons and use my own content.

This is really a beautiful and very emotional work of art. I keep coming back to look at it.
I've been to the Cascades several times when my daughter worked in the National Park. One of the most beautiful places on earth. Your painting is a nice reminder of hiking through the trees there. Thank you.

Casey Klahn said...

Thanks, Jean. I'm very glad it evokes emotion for you.

Did your daughter work at Mt Rainier or in the North Cascades NP? I have climbed many peaks in both places.

Beautiful color in all your work, but I especially like this one!

Happy to meet you, Ruth. Thanks for visiting and commenting.

It seems that these recent works have caused many to "de-lurk". Who'd have thought that just posting new work would bring this about?
