Nice! I like the little "explosions" of saturated color throughout.

I also can't really figure out why it is that I like seeing the underlying paper surface/color on other pastelists' work, but don't care for it much on my own (except for black, of course).

You do see the light gray surface of the La Carte, here, along with some subtle blue-gray that is almost the same hue/value. It is an interplay that creates some energy.

My "rule" for paper showing is I do it if it adds something to the picture.
