I am pleased to be hanging at the TINMAN GALLERY in Spokane for a group show. Sheila M. Evans sends these photos of the "pastel corner," the bottom one of which features Sheila's works to the left, and mine on the right.

What a great gallery space! Lucky is whoever gets any one of your paintings under their tree.
"Winter Light" is a good example of all the right color choices. You're so good at that! I think it's your best magic trick.
"Winter Light" is a tour de force! High key neutrals contrasted with small amounts of pure hue make it glow. I love the abstracted design.

Sam, these colors were chosen on the fly, as I composed. I remember responding to the field, and the low angled light.

"Winter Light" is quite splendid. I love the colours, but even more, I'm fascinated by your emphasis on the picture plane while retaining that great sense of light throughout.
